March 29, 2018 – As part of the tradition of the last day of each year’s session of the General Assembly, the Governor announces his list of state appointments, as recommended by the Committee on Assignments.
Bart Gobell of Savannah has been reappointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Lottery Commission. He appointment will run through Dec. 15, 2021.
And, Don Waters has been reappointed to the Board of Regents, University System of Georgia. Waters’ appointment is through Jan. 1, 2025.
The only other appointment from the Coastal Georgia region, out of more than 140 appointments released, was Steve Oldaker from Glynn County to the State Rehabilitation Council.
