November 13, 2015 - Georgia Tech-Savannah will host a two-day leadership workshop, “Maximizing Innovation and Improvement,” on Dec. 1-2, 2015.

Middle- and upper-management professionals who work for mid- to large-size companies -- as well as those who are about to transition to management roles -- will learn to understand the difference between incremental improvement and innovation; design-thinking and lean-thinking techniques; costs and their operational drivers; as well as how to analyze a current innovation or improvement opportunity.

“December’s Leading Well course will teach participants how to align continuous improvement projects and innovation efforts with their companies’ business strategies,” said Ned Ellington, leadership development expert and course instructor. “These courses have been designed with input from Savannah-area businesses to address their needs and specific goals.”

This two-day workshop positions leaders to be effective change agents through continuous improvement. The session also explains the rationale for continuous improvement, the tools and techniques that support such efforts, and how to assess improvement projects’ return on investment. This workshop series began in September and will run through December with a spring session scheduled from January through April 2016.

The workshop series will be led by Ellington, a former research faculty at Georgia Tech. Ellington has a long history in executive education, having developed and delivered seminars and workshops on the topics of leadership fundamentals, transformation management, innovation management, lean enterprise thinking, leading change and total quality management.

For more information on the series, contact Bill Astary at 912-963-6976 or visit CEUs available: 1.40. Cost: $895.
