January 6, 2015 - The Public Relations Society of America Georgia Chapter (prsageorgia.org) will host two events on Thurs., Jan. 15: a morning seminar on defining solid PR metrics to set goals and track success, then a luncheon on using social media to engage audiences in new ways, measuring success and emerging sports and attractions that are drawing new legions of fans.

Both events will be held at Maggiano's Buckhead in Atlanta.

The morning seminar, "Learn How to Master Your PR Metrics" will cover going beyond advertising value equivalencies (AVEs) and gross impressions and learn how to establish meaningful, success metrics for public relations and organic social media programs.

The session speaker will be Nora DePalma, principal and chief analytics officer of O'Reilly DePalma, and will cover types of measurement tools, how to establish a measurement program to fit any budget, and how to sell management or clients on a measurement investment. Also covered will be 10 ways to measure results without a clipping service and what to do when your metrics fall short of forecast.

Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. and the seminar is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Seminar details and registration may be found here: bit.ly/1Df3kML. Online registration is available until January 14.

The luncheon topic will be "Driving Results and Hitting Home Runs in Sports PR and Communications"
