Dec. 7 - Traffic pattern changes coming for Motorists on Chapel Crossing Road at US 17/SR 25

Category: Ports & Transportation

Brunswick Business Journal Staff Report

December 7, 2016 – December seems to be Glynn County’s month for work by the Georgia DOT. Bridges are under repair, and roadways are being resurfaced.

In addition, the traffic pattern on Chapel Crossing Road at US 17/SR 25 changed from current free flow north bound right lane into a stop condition traffic pattern utilizing traffic signals as of  Monday in Glynn County. This traffic operational change should enhance safety for motorists at this T-intersection, states the DOT.

Georgia DOT crews will install the new traffic signal over the right turn lane on Chapel Crossing Road at US 17, as well, and once the new traffic operational pattern is in place, motorists right turn access will be indicated by traffic signals. Motorists will not have free flow right turn on Chapel Crossing at this intersection.

Motorists should except minor delays within this work zone while crews complete multiple traffic control operations.
