August 31, 2017 – The Lisa Ring for Congress Campaign will “hit the trail over the next few weeks to talk about the issues that matter most in the 1st District of Georgia,” they state, setting up various events throughout the 1st District of Georgia.
In September, the following events have been announced:
- September 1, Forsyth Park, Savannah
Meet & Greet with Lisa Ring in the Park. 5PM-8PM
- September 3, Labor Council Picnic. Ms. Ring will speak on the issues for workers’ rights and fair wages.
- September 28, Brunswick Meet & Greet with voters for a Q & A session.
Ring states that she is “the new face of politics. People in the 1st district have had enough of the political and partisan posturing that have a very real impact on their daily lives. They are tired of worrying about if they will be able to afford healthcare next year, or if after honorably serving their country, they will be employable. They are frustrated that they work full-time and still can’t pay their bills. Or that they have the will to attend college, but not enough money to pay outrageous tuition and textbook costs.”
“Together, we will make our district one that works for all of us, where no one gets left behind, and each person lives with opportunity, security, and freedom,” she adds.
She is the current Chairman of the Bryan County Democratic Party, and was a Georgia leader in the Bernie Sanders for President Campaign.
