Sept. 1 – Governor’s Tourism Conference set for Sept. 10 to 13 at Jekyll Island Conference Center

Sept. 1, 2017 – The importance of tourism to the Georgia economy can’t be overstated  And, statewide leaders will be in Glynn County next week for Gov. Nathan Deal’s Tourism Conference. Registration is still open.

Full registration is the best value and includes all general sessions, breakout sessions, both luncheons, both evening dinner events, and all refreshment breaks, according to organizers. And, attendees are encouraged to ‘Come early and enjoy some time in the Golden Isles and on Jekyll Island,’ though with approaching Hurricane Irma, it may not be beach weather.

Activities kick off on Sunday with a tour of the area before the Conference gets underway, including a “fun Sunday night at the GACVB Scholarship Fund BBQ & Cornhole Tournament,” they state.  And, the weekend after the conference is the island’s annual Shrimp & Grits Festival.

Full Registration is $395, online, available through Tuesday, Sept. 5.  Full Onsite Registration Rate then goes up to $425.  Partial rates include:

Sunday Night GACVB Scholarship Fund BBQ & Cornhole Tournament - $50

Cornhole Tournament - $25 per player, two person teams, maximum 32 teams allowed

One day registration – Monday - $195

Evening Event Only - Monday - $60

One Day Registration - Tuesday (includes luncheon) - $235

Tuesday Luncheon - $40

Evening Event Only - Tuesday - $60

One Day Registration - Wednesday (includes luncheon) - $195

Wednesday Luncheon - $40
