Nov. 2 - Ambetter Health Insurance Expands into Southeast Georgia

November 2, 2018 - Beginning Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, Ambetter from Peach State Health Plan will extend healthcare coverage to 49 new counties in Georgia through the Federal Health Insurance Marketplace. Some of the new counties include Glynn, Camden, McIntosh, Wayne and Brantley. 
 
In a press release, Ambetter from Peach State Health Plan said it includes essential health benefits, including preventive and wellness services, maternity and newborn care, pediatric services, mental health and substance abuse services, hospitalization, and prescription drug coverage. Plans may also include dental and vision coverage, and all plans include a 24/7 nurse advice line and the “My Health Pays” program where members can earn rewards to use towards healthcare and lifestyle expenses for participating in healthy activities.
