Aug. 28 – Thomas & Hutton names Ryan Smith as new Civil Department Manager

August 28, 2014 - Thomas & Hutton announced the promotion today of Ryan Smith, PE, LEED AP BD+C, to Civil Department Manager, based in the company’s Savannah office.  

Ryan earned a BS in environmental and civil engineering from the University of Western Ontario and has 14 years of experience with Thomas & Hutton, serving as designer, project manager, group leader and principal.  Ryan has experience in a diverse range of project types including residential, commercial, industrial, medical, office and institutional.  Day to day activities include project, client and resource management.

“As our civil engineering department continues to thrive, it is vital that we have strong leadership in place,” said Benny Jones Jr., PE, senior vice president and chief operating officer at Thomas & Hutton.  “Ryan’s high levels of client satisfaction, strong technical acumen, and management skills will serve the company well in this role.”
