Aug. 3 - TideWater Landscape Management Announces New Hires; DeLoach Reducing Daily Oversight

August 3, 2018 - TideWater Landscape Management, Inc. has announced that the company has named Skip Thompson as CEO. Mr. Thompson has been with TideWater for 10 years, according to the company, and brings more than 30 years of landscaping experience to TideWater. 

Tidewater Landscape was founded, and is owned, by Savannah Mayor Eddie DeLoach, who states that he is not retiring, but "just reducing my oversight."  The Mayor added that both he and his brother, also in leadership with the company, "are moving into a supporting role."  

Previously Vice President of Operations for TideWater, Thompson has been instrumental in expanding and broadening TideWater’s customer reach, the firm stated. He is the Chairman of the International Certification Committee for the National Association of Landscape Professionals, and is a Landscape Industry Certified Manager and Technician. He also holds certifications with Six Sigma Lean Sensei and OSHA.

Former Controller for TideWater, Connie Hill, has been named CFO. Mrs. Hill has been with TideWater for more than 5 years. Her background in accounting and comptrolling experience, along with her hands-on experience at TideWater, will allow for futher growth and expansion at the company.

John Jackson, former Account Manager, is now the Vice President of Operations for TideWater. Mr. Jackson has been with TideWater for 11 years. His focus will be the management of operations for all branches of TideWater outside of the Savannah area. 

Mike Roach, is now the Project Manager for TideWater Solutions in Savannah. He has been with the company for over a year and recent completed the landscape design of the Savannah River Marriott.

Lex Jennings has joined the development team at TideWater in Huntsville, Alabama. His experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the team.

Eddie DeLoach founded the company in 1983 after he came across a magazine highlighting a landscaping and lawn service company that had a reached $1 million in revenue. He read the article and thought to himself, “I can do that," according to his bio on the company's website. At the time he was working as the District Manager for Kaiser Chemical in North Carolina.
