July 21 - Richmond Hill Chamber will sponsor this year's Seafood Festival in October, attended by thousands

July 22, 2015 – The Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce announced today that they will sponsor the 17th Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival set for the weekend of Oct. 16 - 18.

The festival will include live music, crafts, seafood, and rides. And, the headline act will be country music singer Joe Nichols, known for songs such as “Brokenheartsville,” “Gimmie That Girl” and “Sunny and 75.” He will perform Saturday evening, Oct. 17.

The festival is held at J.F. Gregory Park, 521 Cedar Street, Richmond Hill, Georgia 31324.  The festival runs on Friday 5 - 11 p.m; on Sat., Oct. 17, 2015 from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. ; and Sun., Oct. 18, 2015 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Friday and all day Sunday tickets will be $5 (no re-admission); Saturday all day $10 (re-admission allowed).  Rates for Kids (ages 6-15) are Friday and all day Sunday $5 (no re-admission) and Saturday all day $5 (re-admission allowed). Children (ages 5 and under) are free all weekend

The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival is an annual event held at J. F. Gregory Park the third weekend in October. People from all over the southeast come to sample southern hospitality while enjoying the seafood.

The festival features continuous entertainment on two stages with local and national entertainment, along with a midway, hand-made arts and crafts and business booths.
